Description

The Fizzbook Spin has been built specifically for education, being designed and then approved by the toughest critics - teachers and students.

As a total classroom solution the Fizzbook Spin provides netbook, e-reader and touchscreen tablet functionality, complemented by a suite of classroom software that's included as standard.

The hand-held durable device has been built to withstand the classroom environment, compact and light-weight, whilst still powerful enough to provide students with software optimised for education. It's used as an aid to teaching across the curriculum and lesson spaces, moving between classes within a portable secure trolley. Its education focus and durable design means it is also adopted by schools as a personal device on a one per child basis.

Flexible

The way in which children learn is changing and the use of ICT across the curriculum is increasing. The Fizzbook's flexible design and connectivity options mean students are not tied to a desk; its tablet mode makes it possible to hold in the hand and means it can be used outside of the traditional classroom.

Clicking and scrolling can be done with your fingertips and for more detailed entry there is a built-in stylus. Onboard handwriting recognition works for all applications, and gives you options for joined-up or printed handwriting, or if required a virtual keyboard.

All this functionality is complemented by an in-built accelerometer, which rotates the screen so it is always the right way up for the person looking at it. This also means all features are available for left and right handed users. In addition, Fizzbook Spin can also used as an e-book with the appropriate software.

Not only does the Fizzbook come with word processing, spreadsheet and art packages, but the Fizzbook Spin's standard classroom tools are unique. It's the only solution which comes pre-loaded with SMART Classroom Suite*, the integrated software solution from SMART Technologies.

The software is designed specifically for teachers and students to use in a computer enabled classroom and combines their award winning SMART Board interactive™ whiteboard software, SMART Notebook with SMART Sync, SMART Notebook Student Edition and SMART Response CE.

This powerful piece of software enables teachers to take control of the Fizzbooks in their classroom. With familiar and easy to use creation tools, teachers can deliver lessons which include whole class, group and individual interactive activities. There is also the added option of turning their Fizzbook into an assessment tool using SMART's assessment software - SMART Response CE. All the elements you need to personalise students learning are combined in the Fizzbook and you'll soon be wondering how you taught without them.

Delivery the following working day before 10.30am. Your order must be placed before midday on the previous working day to ensure delivery on time. Please be aware this is not available to all UK postcodes. Any orders placed on either Saturday or Sunday will be dispatched on the next working day.

Please note: All exclusions/exceptions listed in both Free Next-Working Day Delivery and Standard Next-Working Day Delivery are applicable for both pre 10:30am and Pre 12:00 noon delivery options. Next Working Day Delivery - Pre 12.00 Noon

Republic of Ireland Delivery
Due to the varied costs associated with delivery to the Republic of Ireland, we would strongly advise that you call our sales team to discuss specific delivery charges. Online delivery charges to the Republic of Ireland may not always be accurate (especially for heavier/larger items).

In the event of adverse weather conditions there may be some delays to the delivery of your order.

Some large and bulky items are shipped via a palletised delivery and can take 48-hours. Items may take longer and we will notify you if this is the case with your order.

Our delivery service is available for all addresses within Mainland UK. Please be aware delivery service/charges may differ for Northern Ireland, Scottish Highlands, Channel Islands and the Republic of Ireland.

Please note that working days exclude Saturdays, Sundays and Bank Holidays.

As all our parcels require a signature upon delivery; we are unable to deliver to PO Box addresses. Orders to one address may be delivered in one or more deliveries. Any delivery timescales are indicative only. We use a number of courier and delivery companies including Royal Mail, UPS, DHL and City Link as well as others. For security reasons all parcels must be signed for on receipt. If you will not be at home during normal office hours you can provide us with an alternative delivery address where someone will be available to sign for your parcel.
